Your Love Story & First Dance Pledge Written and Performed For You by Party Time Productions
~ The Love Story ~
The Love Story is the telling of how The Bride and Groom met;
fell in love and the adventure that brought them to this wonderful day. The
couple will fill out a simple questionnaire, detailing some of the highlights of
their relationship. Each will do this on their own without the help or
consultation of the other. I will then take the two questionnaires and turn it
into a short Love Story depicting their romance. (five to ten minutes) When we
start the dance portion of the evening, the Bridal couple will meet on the dance
floor and sit in chairs so that all of the guests can see them. I will then read
the Love Story to the group where everyone, including the Bride and Groom will be
hearing it for the first time. The room will fill with spontaneous outbursts of
laughter and tears of happiness. When the story ends, the couple will stand and
immediately start their first dance together as husband and wife.
The Love story is a very romantic, fun and revealing way to begin your
reception. It will set the mood for intimacy, fun, and dancing for the rest of
the evening. You may have seen or heard of the Love Story performed by other
DJ's in your area, but they can't compare to the quality and professionalism as
performed by Jeff Richards.
In August of 2005, Jeff took part in a seminar
given by Mark Farrell to teach DJ's the proper way to write and perform the
Love Story. Mark is the creator of the Love Story and has been performing them
for many years in California. Only ten DJ's were allowed to take this class in
Minnesota. The secret to the perfect Love Story is in the writing and
performing of the material. When properly performed it will give you and
your guests a lasting memory of your special wedding day.
The Love Story questionnaire will need to be finished and sent back to our Office: NO
LATER THEN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE RECEPTION! It can take up to 20 hours to properly
write your Love Story. It can also take weeks to practice the performance portion
of the Love Story to make it perfect for you.
~ The First Dance Pledge ~
The First Dance Pledge is a special way to celebrate your first dance
as wedded husband and wife.
For this special dance we have the Bridal
couple come to the office and separately record short messages of their love
for each other. Next, the messages are combined from each of them into the song that they
have selected for their First Dance together as wedded husband and wife.
As the wedded couple dances together at the reception, it will be the first time everyone will hear how the
other feels in their own words. It is sure to bring tears of happiness to all who attend your reception.
The First Dance Pledge is a very romantic and revealing way to begin your
reception. It will set the mood of intimacy, fun and dancing for the rest of
the evening.
*** The first dance pledge sometimes may not applicable to the
song selected by the couple. Some songs simply do not have enough musical space
without words to insert the messages. Speak with Jeff to ensure that the
song you have selected will work with the First Dance Pledge. ***
The First Dance Pledge will need to be recorded: NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO
THE RECEPTION! The proper mixing of the messages and the music can take eight or
more hours to get it perfect for you.
Both of these options are a great way to start off your reception. Each of the
options will take a little extra time with the Bridal couple to make them work
perfect. Your extra time invested may be as little as a half hour or up to two
hours.
You have the choice of picking either of these specialties to start your
reception or you may choose to start with the traditional beginning for the
wedding dance. If you have a unique way in which you would like to start your
dance portion of the night, I would be more then happy to accommodate you and make your dreams come true.
We look forward to musically pleasing you.
